Now that Alloy is running, verify that telemetry is flowing to Grafana Cloud. The Database Observability Configuration page runs automated checks against each database instance and highlights any issues.
Navigate to the Database Observability Configuration page to check your database’s telemetry status.
Expand Observability in the navigation menu.
Click Database.
Click Configuration in the Database Observability navigation.
Select your MySQL instance from the Instance dropdown at the top of the page. Choose the instance label you configured in your Alloy relabeling rules.
The page displays status check tiles for your instance. Each tile validates a specific configuration requirement:
Status
Meaning
Green checkmark
Configuration is correct
Red warning
Action required
Blue “Checking”
Query in progress
Verify that all checks show green checkmarks. If any check fails, click the tile to see troubleshooting guidance.
You’ve confirmed that your MySQL instance is sending telemetry to Grafana Cloud.
